Manchester United has received a huge boost in their hopes of signing Barcelona free agent Dani Alves following comments by the player’s agent who said that the Brazilian defender was “close” to quitting Barcelona.
The 31-year-old right back is out of contract in the summer and is being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
His agent Dinorah Santana, who also happened to be his ex-wife, has said they are fed up on waiting for the Catalan giants to discuss a new deal and are currently involved in advanced talks with another club.
“We’re close to signing with another club, the talks are advanced,” she said.
“Barca? Dani is always available, but he won’t wait much longer. They’re making Dani look like the baddie in this movie and we’re tired of this situation now”.
