arsenal, chelsea, manchester united

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal thinks that Arsenal is a much better team than Chelsea, and that the Blues won the title because of their ruthless play by killing of games once they were in the lead.

LVG said that he is a big admirer of the tactics used by Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho and the way his teams frustrate and close down their opponents, and hopes his United team will play the same way next season.

When talking about Arsenal, who United play this afternoon at Old Trafford the Dutchman was of the opinion that the Gunners were a more superior football team than Chelsea, yet despite this he would like his team to copy Mourinho’s tactics.

“I have not given the team a winning mentality yet because we are not champions and I think that is a quality of the champions.

“We have improved lot, but we have to learn to do what Chelsea have done in the way they can play and finish the games – that is the big difference now between us and them.

“I think Arsenal maybe have a better team but they cannot finish off opponents like Chelsea. That is also about talent and experience like John Terry and Gary Cahill. That is the difference.”

Here at Soccer Transfers while trying to stay neutral, we have to say we would prefer to watch Arsenal everyday over Chelsea and now given what LVG has just said we could be in for another team playing what many pundits have called boring football next season.

Manchester United fans please tell LVG you don’t want to win the Chelsea way.
