Lazio has told Liverpool that they may be interested in selling Brazilian playmaker Hernanes but have made it clear that £15 million will not be enough to land the 28-year-old playmaker according to TalkSport radio.

The former Sao Paulo man was a key figure for Brazil in last year’s Confederations cup triumph playing alongside Tottenham’s Paulinho and has been a huge star for Lazio since arriving in Italy scoring 40 goals in 154 appearances for the Rome club.

Lazio is currently 9th in the Italian league and well off qualifying for a place in the Champions League which given Liverpool’s desire to finish in the top-four and the fact they already have two Brazilian players in Lucas and Coutinho they might just be able to convince Hernanes to move to Merseyside.

The player himself however is certainly not looking for a move saying: “I do not want to hear these stories, I want to focus on my work and help the team.”

Lazio also are putting up a strong defence with club president Claudio Lotito telling TMW that only a very significant offer would see the playmaker leave: “I do not want to sell him, we will have to receive an indecent offer – £15m will not be enough.”
