Liverpool to sign LONG-TERM 20€m Defensive Target

Having now tried for the past three transfer windows, it would appear as though Liverpool is finally close to signing Barcelona right-back Martin Montoya.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of the 23-year-old, and has made enquiries as to his availability in the past with Barcelona not interested in selling as they always saw Montoya as the man to replace 31-year-old Dani Alves.

However given the fact that Montoya has only made six starts for the Catalan giants this season he is now determined to move away, and should Liverpool make him a promise of regular football, a move to Anfield could very well be the boost he is looking for to jump-start his career.
