West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino is hoping to leave the Hawthorns in January, with both Liverpool and Tottenham ready to do battle for his signature.
Berahino is West Brom’s leading scorer with eight goals but has been surprisingly left out of the starting team for the last three matches.
Reports claim that the club has halted new contract talks with his representatives but other people are claiming it was the player himself who decided to stop talking with West Brom over a new contract telling the club he did not see a long-term future with them and wants to join a club that has Champions League aspirations.
The 21-year-old England international came up through West Brom’s academy and has a contract with them till 2017, but will try and force a move this transfer window.
