Liverpool is close to agreeing a deal with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for attacking midfielder Roberto Firmino after having scouted the 23-year-old Brazilian for the past 18-months as they look to bolster an already impressive attack.
Manchester United and Arsenal has also had scouts watching the newly capped Brazilian international whose main focus is creating goals from in and around the box.
He is describe as a fantastic dribbler of the ball who over the past two seasons has seen only Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard make more successful dribbles in Europe’s top leagues.
And while not a top goal scorer he still has an eye for the back of the net when given an opportunity scoring 16 goals for Hoffenheim last season, yet so far this campaign he has only netted the ball six times in 25 outings.
According to reports in Italy Liverpool is preparing an £18.6 million bid for Firmino in the hope of beating their Premiership rivals to his signature.
