Liverpool has rejected La Liga side Valencia’s approaches towards Liverpool striker Iago Aspas according to reports coming out of Spain.

Valencia has made several approaches for the former Celta Vigo striker who has failed to make an impression since arriving from Spain during the summer.

The 26-year-old has failed to score in the ten Premiership appearances he has been given and is finding it hard to even get a game while both Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez are both fit.

Valencia were eager to get an end of season loan deal in place before tonight deadline but it is looking as though Aspas will now be staying on Merseyside following recent talks with Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
