Former Reds star defender Alan Kennedy thinks that the signature of Southampton and England right-back Nathaniel Clyne is a top-priority for Brendan Rodgers this summer.
Former Liverpool defender Alan Kennedy believes the club must sign Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne this summer no matter how much Manchester United is willing to pay.
Kennedy told the Liverpool Echo: “Clyne is very good, we all saw how good he was when Southampton came to Anfield last season, and he scored their goal.
“He has got something about him everybody likes and he is something we need. If we don’t think Manquillo is going to do it at the club and we have lost Glen Johnson, the logical thing is to go out and buy the next best thing and I think that is Nathaniel Clyne.”
