Liverpool takes on Blackburn Rovers in the quarter finals of football oldest completion on Sunday the FA Cup.
The Reds will fancy their chances against the Championship team playing at home, where they have not been beaten since the eighth of November, with their last league loss the 3-0 beating at Old Trafford at the hands of Manchester United.
Liverpool feel as though they have a strong chance of winning the FA Cup, so manager Rodgers will want to field a strong side but could very well be tempted given the opposition to rest Emre Can and Alberto Moreno with Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho available.
As for wingback Moreno, Lazar Markovic could easily play in the Spaniards left-back position.
Steven Gerrard recently returned to training, but following the performances of Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen we expect to see Gerrard on the bench.
Unavailable for the match is Brad Jones, Lucas Leiva and Jordon Ibe.
Simon Mignolet will remain in nets for now at least with Liverpool having no other realistic options available.
We expect to see Sakho return to the back three in place of Dejan Lovren with Emre Can the other side of martin Skrtel unless Rodgers plans the give the German U-21 international the day off, in which case it will be Toure in his place.
Here we expect to see Jordan Henderson, who will remain as captain should Gerrard not play and the much improved Joe Allen, who is becoming to be a pleasure to watch. As for the wingbacks Moreno and Markovic will start in the now familiar positions.
Up front for the Reds will be Daniel Sturridge with both Philippe Coutinho and Raheem sterling playing close behind the England striker.
