Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson will be out for at least one month after injuring his groin during the Reds 3-0 loss to Manchester United last Sunday.

Johnson who will be out of contract early in the summer is now facing his second lengthy spell out of action after having missed nearly six weeks in the fall with a thigh injury.

This now leaves Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers without one of his most experienced players as we head into the busy holiday period.

At the moment it would appear that Rodgers obvious choice is to use Javi Manquillo at right-back leaving Jose Enrique and Alberto Moreno to compete for the left-back position.

Meanwhile Jon Flanagan a regular player during the second half of the season is recovering from a knee injury.
