chelsea, atletico madrid

Sorry Chelsea fans, but would do have to wonder sometimes how Spanish sports daily Marca comes up with their reports.

The news on their front page today is that Chelsea striker Diego Costa is willing to take a pay cut in order to move back to Atletico Madrid.

Costa joined Chelsea last summer in a deal believed to be worth £32 million and in his first season at Stamford Bridge has won the Capital One Cup and the Premiership title with a team that hope to be challenging for the Champions League next season.

Not only is the Brazilian born Spaniard a hero at the Bridge following his 20 goals this season, but it is hard to even contemplate him wanting to leave so soon.

Perhaps Marca has him confused with Filipe Luis who signed for the Blues at the same time as Costa, and if it was Luis that Marca said wanted to return to the Rojiblancos we could well believe it as he might be used to help Mourinho broker a deal for Koke or Antoine Griezmann.
