Arsenal summer target Pedro could be on his way to the Emirates where he will link up with former teammate Alexis Sanchez after the Catalan giants tell Arsenal, “You can have him for £22 million.”
The 27-year-old forward has struggled to find playing time at the Nou Camp since the arrival of Luiz Suarez from Liverpool, and now looks set to leave during the summer.
Spanish sports newspaper AS is today claiming that Barcelona has put a £22 million price tag on the versatile player who has been capped 48 times for Spain.
Pedro is out of contract at the end of next season and has never played for another club after coming up through Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy.
The paper says that the club would rather cash in on him next summer rather than see him walk away for nothing in 2016.
If based on the way Alexis has worked out for the Gunners, Arsene Wenger should not think twice about paying what seems like a reasonable £22 million for a world-class player like Pedro.
