Arsenal will use the fact that Catalan giants Barcelona will not be allowed to sign any new players until 2016 after having broken Fifa rules regarding the transfer of players under the age of 18.

And Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo say that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is going to take advantage of this by signing Barcelona target Lars Bender from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old German defensive midfielder will plug the gap that Arsenal have with the Spanish newspaper claiming that the Gunners boss is willing to spend £22 million to get Bender to move to the Emirates.
