Arsenal has made a shock £13 million bid for long-time Manchester United defensive target Ezequiel Garay.
The 28-year-old Argentinian nearly signed for United last summer before finally leaving Benfica to join Russian outfit Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb is reporting that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is using the current tussle between Manchester United and Real Madrid to his advantage, going after Garay now while United is busy trying to sort out a transfer for goalkeeper David De Gea.
Garay is currently representing Argentina in the Copa America tournament in Chile but is open to a move to the Premiership after not fully settling in Russia.
Liverpool seems to have used the De Gea, Ramos situation to their advantage by signing Roberto Firmino, and now Arsenal hopes it will play to their advantage as well.
