Both Liverpool and Arsenal have now joined the race to sign Manchester United target Fabio Coentrao.
The 25 million rated Portuguese international now finds himself surplus to requirements in trainer Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid team, and is looking to make a move from the Santiago Bernabeu this coming January.
United have been linked with Coentrao for some time, but with both Arsenal and Liverpool needing a left-back they have decided to go after the former Benfica star who is said to be keen on playing in the Premiership.
And it is not only English clubs that are interested, with AC Milan and Turkish side Besiktas fond of the 26-year-old defender.
