Aaron Ramsey out for six weeks

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed at his press conference this morning that midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be out for between four to six weeks more on top of the month he has already missed after suffering a thigh injury during Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham back in December.

Wenger said: “Aaron Ramsey will be out for four to six weeks.”

As a result of the injury to the 23-year-old Welsh international Wenger has said that he would like to bring in one player today, but it looks as though it may not be Julian Draxler after a breakdown in negotiations.

The 64-year-old Frenchman added that he would like to see the winter transfer season scrapped due to the fact that 80% of all business takes place on the final day.
