Joseph Yobo is no longer an Everton player! He FINALLY completed his permanent switch to Fenerbahçe over the weekend.

Yobo has finally gone

The prolonged transfer saga has been ongoing for over two years, but finally Everton and Turkish side Fenerbahçe have agreed a fee, to end two years of the Nigerian defender being left in limbo.

2 years of playing in Turkey on loan without knowing if he would make the switch on a permanent basis and 2 years of Everton not knowing just how much money they can re-coup on the deal.

But over the weekend this chapter of Yobo’s career was finally closed.

Reports from turkish-football.com suggest that 31-year-old Yobo has signed a three-year-deal worth €6 million plus a hefty bonus scheme, while the transfer fee is thought to be €2.5 million.

‘I would love to thank Everton and the management of Fenerbahce for reaching a deal eventually,’ Yobo said to the BBC.

He added: ‘I know it took a while, dragged on a bit but the ends justify the means and I am a very happy man.

‘All I wanted was to come back to Istanbul with undoubtedly the biggest club in Turkey and glory be to God that dream has been achieved,’
