RAY WILKINS has warned Roberto Di Matteo he is merely keeping the Chelsea manager’s seat warm for Pep Guardiola.
Di Matteo was confirmed as permanent Blues boss last night.
But former Chelsea No 2 Wilkins reckons owner Roman Abramovich is still keen on ex-Barcelona boss Guardiola.
He said: “Abramovich was hanging on to see if Pep Guardiola would come out of his year-long retirement. It’s no secret he sees him as the man to take Chelsea forward.
“It’s going to be a very tough season for Roberto.”
