West Bromwich Albion manager Pepe Mel wants to bring Arsenal’s Joel Campbell to the Hawthorns if he can manage to hold on to his job with the Midlands club according to the Daily Express.

His future could very well depend upon whether the Baggies manage to escape relegation, but in any case he has drawn up a list of players he would like to sign in the summer that includes Campbell who played under him at Real Betis in Spain.

Currently Campbell is on loan in Greece with Olympiakos, but spent the season before playing in Spain.

The 21-year-old Costa Rican international signed for Arsenal three years ago but has been out on loan the entire time after failing to obtain a work permit.

Whatever happens with regards to staying up or playing in the Championship whoever will be in charge of West Brom will need to do a major overhaul of the team with Steven Reid, Zoltan Gera and Billy Jones all out of contract along with five other players whose loan spells come to an end.
