ARSENE WENGER faces Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight insisting he will be missed when he leaves English football.

The Arsenal boss is preparing for one of the biggest weeks of his career after being dumped out of the FA Cup by Blackburn on Saturday.

A loss to the German giants, followed by defeat at home to struggling Aston Villa this weekend, would put him under overwhelming pressure from angry fans.

Yet Wenger, 63, said: “I’m sure you will miss me when I’m gone. My current contract ends in 2014. I will have completed 30 years without interruption at top level; football demands a lot of commitment.”

As for tonight, Wenger wants at least a clean sheet from the first leg of the last-16 tie.

He said: “It is vital because 0-0 at home is a very good result in the knockout stages. We will try to score but 0-0 is not a disaster.

“In Europe you face quality teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid but they don’t win it every year.

“We have been in the final and consistently in the quarter-final, semi-finals.

“People say it is not our best opportunity but I think it’s a fantastic one.”
