Mario Balotelli

Italian website tuttosport is reporting that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli back to the Premiership.

The 23-year-old Italian has always spoken about how he liked playing in England prompting Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola to speculate that he might link up with his former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.

Just a few weeks back there was talk in the Italian press suggesting that AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi had instructed the club to offload Balotelli, but that story was soon denied by the club saying that there were no problems which was obviously wrong as they went on to fire trainer Cesare Prandelli, replacing him with former Milan player Clarence Seedorf.

As things stand at the moment it does not look as though la Rossoneri will qualify for the Champions League next season, and with the World Cup coming up in which Balotelli will certainly have a chance to star in for the Italian national team who always seem to have a knack of performing on the big stage I think a move for Arsenal to try and sign him early could pay off with big dividends, and while I know he has been problematic in the past he is now older and a manager like Wenger could very well be exactly what he needs to get the best out of him.
