The Gunners appear as if they are going to make some serious changes over the summer as manager Arsene Wenger prepares to put together a team that can challenge Chelsea and Manchester City for the Premiership title next season.

Wenger wants to bring in three top players that he thinks will help Arsenal in their bid to compete with the leagues big spenders.

Top of his wish list is Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, followed by a world-class goalkeeper such as Chelsea’s Petr Cech, but it might be difficult to get Chelsea to sell the Czech international to a Premiership rival, and while the Blue’s number two would relish the chance of the number one spot at the Emirates, we here at Soccer Transfers do not see it happening mainly due to Mourinho and the way he operates.

The third player on the Gunners bosses list is an experienced centre-half such as Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic, and while scouts were sent to watch the Serbian defender last week, he has been on Arsenals radar before, with the Gunners yet to make a bid.
