According to a report in The London Evening Standard Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is feeling the pressure of not having signed the striker or defensive midfielder that the fans want and is ready to take a gamble on a new signing as we enter the last eight days of the summer transfer window.
“There is always time to take a gamble and we are not against taking a gamble. But what you want is to take a gamble in a market where the opportunity is there”.
“I believe this squad is ready to fight for the title and has a chance to do it given that we are continuing to develop as a team”.
“That is the first thing. Internally we have the resources to do that and it is also important that we don’t have too many major injuries like last year”.
