Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has now after much speculation publically confirmed that he will be signing a new contract with the Gunners.
While being interviewed on beIN Sports the 64-year-old Frenchman was asked about his future and Wenger made it clear that he would be signing a new contract in the summer.
Wenger was asked point blank: “Will you stay or will you go at the end of the season?”
The Arsenal boss replied: “Look, I’ve said that many times already, I’ve given my word to this club and I want to continue where I am.”
Then, after a brief silence, he added: “That means to stay.”
It was assumed that Wenger was waiting to see if Arsenal could win the FA Cup first and also finish in the top-four, but after these comments it seems fair to say that Wenger will remain at the club for at least two more seasons.
