With reports claiming Ramsey could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer, many midfielders have been linked as the likely replacement for Welshman. Unfortunately one of Arsenal’s target in the Ramsey role has agreed personal terms with Manchester City and will not be joining the Gunners if a report by daily star is anything to go by.
According to the British media outlet dailystar, Ilkay Gundogan who has been linked with a move to Arsenal is said to be on his way to Manchester City to play under Pep Guardiola. only few weeks ago the Pep Guardiola was pictured alongside City chief Txiki Begiristain holding discussion with Gundogan’s uncle and agent, Ilhan Gundogan. It appears the meeting was very successful which is a blow to Arsenal’s summer transfer plans.
Manchester City are said to have moved quickly to beat Arsenal and other interested club to the signing of the German as they bid to replace Yaya Toure who is likely to leave Manchester City this summer. With Gundogan lost, Arsenal have little margin for error in the transfer window especially if Aaron Ramsey is leaving the club this summer.
Failure to do the right business in the transfer window this summer can only make the unrest among Arsenal’s fan base worst which can’t be good for the club as the players need the fans to support and cheer them on next season.
