The Gunners have ended talks with CF Valencia after learning that the La Liga club wanted 20€ for their goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

Dick Law Arsenal’s top negotiator flew to Spain on Tuesday to discuss terms for the 26-year-old, but talks broke down late last night after Valencia revealed what the expected to receive for their shot stopper.

Initially Valencia president Amadeo Salvo had said that any club wanting to sign their keeper must meet his release clause of 30€, yet after Guaita expressed his desire to leave Spain’s third largest city,the club relented saying that they would let him go for 20€ million.

Gunners’ chief negotiator Dick Law flew to Spain on Tuesday to discuss a move for the 26-year-old shot-stopper, but talks broke down over the fee late last night and Law will return to London on Wednesday.

Arsenal had a figure of 15€ million in mind for the now number two keeper after manager Miroslav Djukic decided to play Brazilian Diego Alves as his starting keeper in the clubs 1-0 win over Malaga on Saturday.
