Valencia defender Adil Rami has been ruled out for three weeks after suffering a thigh tear, meaning he will miss the second leg of the club’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on March 6.

Rami, 27, had to be substituted during the 2-0 league victory over Real Mallorca at the weekend and had indicated afterwards that he expected to spend time on the sidelines.

Valencia have now confirmed that the Frenchman is likely to be absent for three weeks, which would rule him out of the match against PSG in the French capital. Rami scored a late goal in the first leg as Valencia went down to a 2-1 defeat.

Rami is also likely to miss the league matches against Real Zaragoza, Levante and Athletic Bilbao.
