MAN United, Athletic Bilbao, Herrera,

Manchester United are back in Spain to look for that midfielder that they are so desperate to sign, and it could be third time lucky for the Red Devils having already failed in their attempts to sign Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas, the Premiership champs have moved for Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera.

Herrera comes with a minimum release clause of 36€ million yet United as is their nature have so far only offered to pay 30€ given that it is not such a huge difference, and with time running out Moyes should cough up the extra money and get the deal done.

Herrara is certainly not a name that springs to mind, but Manchester United fans may remember him playing for Bilbao in the thrilling 3-2 Europa League win at Old Trafford during the 2011/2012 season.

Herrera is known for his movement around the pitch as Bilbao’s chief playmaker and would be an asset to United who are defiantly in need of someone who can dictate the play from the centre of the field. Check out Herrera’s lobbed pass in the video below.
