The Daily Mirror newspaper in England has a report today that after being frustrated in their attempts to sign Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona Manchester United manager David Moyes has now turned his attention to Real Madrid’s Mesut Özil.
United are desperate for an attacking midfielder with Özil ticking all the boxes for Moyes.
Everything of course will depend on Gareth Bale’s move to the Spanish giants, which will then leave Los Blancos full of creative midfielders including Isco and Modric who have both caught the attention of manager Carlo Ancelotti with Özil failing to make an impression.
This of course could open the door to a move to Old Trafford something that Özil could be interested in if he knows he will not be getting the playing time at Madrid ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
