manchester united,

Despite the high hopes Manchester United fans have when their club announced the signing of Memphis Depay from PSV, the Dutchman hasn’t been able to tie down a spot in manager Louis Van Gaal’s first team. He was the highest goal scorer in the Eredivise last season which explains why a lot of Manchester United were expecting so much from Depay but he has been lately disappointing despite starting on a bright note.

Unfortunately Depay may be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer if he doesn’t not to get selected for the first team by manager Louis Van Gaal according to reports. According to a report by the SUN, Memphis Depay has made it clear to the club that he will surely consider leaving if the status quo remains the same in regards to game time.

After looking like he will not take time to adapt to the style of play in the Premier league, Depay has found himself being an unused sub or coming in late into games. And this si not the fault of anyone if we are to be honest. Louis Van Gaal gave him ample chances to impress unfortunately he failed to take them and has now been dropped to the bench.

Even in the few times he has come on as a sub or started, he has largely been poor. For him to now come out and threaten the club with an exit is rude and disrespectful to the club. If anything, he should look inwardly and try to move motivate himself to regain his form rather than threaten to leave.

He is not bigger than the club and he must know and accept that for a fact.
