After yet another disappointing season Tottenham will once more look to the transfer market this summer in order to hope solve their problems of being able to break into the Premierships top-four and gain Champions League football.

The Lilywhites are reportedly preparing to go after Atletico Madrid’s Mario Mandzukic, who only arrived in the Spanish capital last season as a replacement for Chelsea’s Diego Costa, and yet despite only one term at the Vincent Calderon it appears he may be on the move once more.

The north London club had the Croatian on their radar back in 2009 when he was playing for Dinamo Zagreb, but have now revised their interest after deciding he would be perfect to play alongside Harry Kane according to reports.

One hurdle manager Mauricio Pochettino could face is the fact Liverpool who are in a similar position to Spurs also wants to sign the 29-year-old centre-forward, but given the Reds current interest in Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, Spurs may be able to get a deal done quickly if they act fast.
