With flop Robert Soldado on his way out and Emmanuel Adebayor headed for Tim Sherwood’s Aston Villa, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino needs another striker to take the burden off of England international Harry Kane.

According to the Times of London the Argentinian manager is considering a bid for Manchester United’s for Javier Hernandez despite United boss Louis van Gaal doing a complete U-turn by insisting the Mexican international was now a part of his plans.

Hernandez was sent on lone last season to Real Madrid, while Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao led the Red Devils attack, but with both players gone the Dutch manager finds himself with just Wayne Rooney and James Wilson to play up front.

United is of course being linked with various strikers during this summer’s transfer window, but if none of the deals come off van Gaal is worried that he will end up short hence the new found love for Chicharito.

Should Cavani or one of the other strikers the club is being liked with arrive in the next few weeks, just watch how fast LVG lets the little Mexican leave Old Trafford?
