Sakho, PSG, Premiership,

A host of Premiership sides are on alert as Paris Saint-Germaine has said they might be willing to let Mamadou Sakho leave for around £8 million.

Besides the Premiership Sky Sports are reporting that European heavyweights AC Milan and Barcelona are also interested in the French international.

Here at home Liverpool have been the club showing the most interest, but now Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City are also said to be looking into the possibility of signing him.

The 23-year-old has come up through the ranks at the French champions, and has just 12 months remaining on his current contract.

While PSG would like him to stay with them the signing of big name players Thiago Silva, Alex and Marquinhos has the club thinking about selling him now rather than see him walk away for nothing next year.

A source speaking to Sky Sports said: “PSG are ready to do a deal, and the interest is big – he is a top talent, and it is not surprising.

“He is a top player and, although PSG are willing to sell, they do still want good money for him, but there is now a good chance that he will move and he could very well be heading for England.”

The boss of PSG former French national team coach Laurent Blanc would like Sakho to stay even though he has expressed his desire to leave.

“When players express their desire to leave in their head, it is not always clear,” Blanc said.

“He expressed his desire to the club. Will there be a solution by September 2nd? I hope so, for the player and for the club.”
