According to The Sun, Arsene Wenger is preparing to make a massive £40 million bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema on Monday.
Reports coming out of Spain suggest that a tentative offer was already put to the Spanish giants last week, with rumours suggesting that Arsene Wenger had personally telephones the 27-year-old French international to discuss a possible move to the Emirates.
Arsenal has been repeatedly linked with a move for Benzema, who we here at Soccer transfer will along with Petr Cech give Arsenal the credibility they have been missing and will go a long way in helping them challenge for next seasons Premiership title.
Meanwhile real Madrid trainer Rafa Benitez is said to be looking at making changes to the team he inherited from Carlo Ancelotti, and is said to be willing to sell Benzema if the price is right.
