Theo Walcott has been linked with a move to premier League sides Manchester City, Liverpool and West ham but Arsenal could yet sell him without strengthening their rivals.

Arsenal having suffered a shocking title capitulation this season will be looking to bolster their squad over the summer transfer window and it will be foolhardy if they ignore the attack. Surely, they have to, with the likes of Joel Campbell and Theo Walcott all reported to exit the club after this season.

The club is linked with a move for top strikers like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Zlatan Ibrahiovich. However, a more realistic target surfaced some days ago. AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca is reportedly set to leave the Italian giant in search of Champions League football despite joining the side just last summer.

Arsenal are one of the clubs mentioned to be on his radar and they could finally make this a win-win situation. I think Milan will be happy to enter a player swap deal for their €30 million signing, which could see Walcott go the reverse direction. A caveat to this is that the England international may not want the move to Italy, but it is in the club’s best interest that he is not sold to a Premier League side.

Bacca has proven that he can churn out double figures, as he has done that for 3 consecutive seasons now. He has already scored 15 goals in 35 games for Milan this season. Therefore, he definitely will come in handy at the latter stages over the course of a season when push turns to shove.
