Swansea City has told Arsenal that they are prepared to fight in order to keep hold of star players Michu and Ashley Williams.
Both Swansea players have been linked with moves to Arsenal this summer, although no formal offers have ever been made.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is desperate to add new players to his squad before the transfer window closes on Monday night, with a striker and defender thought to be his main priorities after having signed former player midfielder Mathieu Flamini last week.
Swansea GM Alun Cowie says that the club will not let any players leave easily when referring to Williams and Michu.
‘Both are integral to our plans this season so we will be fighting tooth and nail to keep them. I haven’t heard of any offers for either of them,’ he said.
