Gary Monk has warned both Arsenal and Everton that Swansea striker Wilfried Bony will only be let go for what he referred to as an “astronomical” fee.

The Ivory Coast international has enjoyed a good first season at Swansea scoring 16 goals in the Premiership along with eight goals in other competitions.

Knowing that both Everton and Arsenal are interested in signing him Bony has recently expressed his desire to join a bigger Premiership club.

Newly appointed manager Gary Monk has other ideas for the former Vitesse striker saying:

“I think we can hold on to him,” he said. “He’s a good guy but money talks.

“It would have to be an astronomical fee for him to leave though and we’re not a selling club. We’re not in any debt. We don’t need to lose anyone so we’re in a strong position.”
