LUIS SUAREZ has given the thumbs up to new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers by admitting he is a huge fan of his style of play.
Rodgers took over as Kop chief a week ago, with some of Europe’s big guns circling the Reds’ star man in the wake of Kenny Dalglish’s sacking.
Italian title winners Juventus were keen and hoped the lure of Champions League football could tempt him into packing his bags.
But the Uruguay hitman, also linked with big-spending Paris St Germain, said: “I have to say Swansea were a pleasant surprise in the Premier League.
“They always tried to play football with short-pass combinations and didn’t care what zone of the field they were at.”
Keeper Pepe Reina is also a big Rodgers fan.
The Spaniard said: “His team has played well this year with an ethos I share. We also play the passing game but it is easier said than done.”
