Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling’s no show at training yesterday, and his apparent refusal to go on Liverpool’s tour of the Far East and Australia was bad enough, but now the 20-year-old Londoner is blaming Brendan Rodgers for wanting to leave Anfield.

If Liverpool did not know at the start of contract negotiations that they were in for a bumpy ride they sure know now, after the want-away forward said that the reason he wants to leave Anfield is because of manager Brendan Rodgers, with it now looking as though he may never kick another ball for Liverpool again.

All this of course falls into the hands of Manchester City and Arsenal as all either clubs need to do now is sit back and wait to see how the mess develops further, and while you think Liverpool may hold all the cards with two-years left on Sterling’s contract all the upheaval it is causing surely has to damage Rodgers pre-season training.
