Liverpool is expecting want-away forward Raheem Sterling to join up with the team as they fly out to Thailand on Sunday for their first pre-season match against the Thai All-Stars, but surprisingly there in no room in the 30-man squad for Italian international striker Mario Balotelli.

Sterling has already said he has no intention of going on the tour adding to what his agent Aidy Ward said on Friday describing all trust between him and manager Brendan Rodgers as having evaporated.

Left behind along with Balotelli were Fabio Borini and Jose Enrique with all three now looking as though their time at Anfield has come to an end.

Also missing but for different reasons are new signing Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho due to their taking part in the Copa America, and German international Emre Can who competed in the European U-21 Championship’s in the Czech Republic.

Full squad: Mignolet, Bogdan, Fulton, Clyne, Gomez, Lovren, Moreno, Toure, Wisdom, Cleary, Skrtel, Sakho, Maguire, Allen, Henderson, Lucas, Milner, Chirivella, Rossiter, Teixeira, Ibe, Kent, Ojo, Wilson, Lallana, Markovic, Sterling, Ings, Lambert, Origi.
