Spurs worried they will lose Hugo Lloris to United

According to Spanish sports newspaper Marca Tottenham is tracking Almeria goalkeeper Julian Cuesta.

Spurs fear they may lose current No.1 shot stopper Hugo Lloris to Manchester United should the Red Devils lose Spanish international David De Gea to Real Madrid, and with all the speculation surrounding a United bid for Gareth Bale doing the rounds today, it is a distinct possibility that a move could be on the cards either with or without Bale moving to Old Trafford.

Lloris meanwhile has spoken of his desire to play Champions League football something that United can offer, but sadly not Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino who is still trying to put his team together at White Hart Lane.

The 24-year-old Cuesta is one of the most wanted goalkeepers in La Liga, and has Marca claiming that he is ‘everything Tottenham are looking for’, strong in the air and good with his feet.

The Spanish daily also says that Newcastle United is also interested as are a few Serie A sides.
