Tottenham keen to bounce back from their 6-0 loss to Manchester City at the weekend could face heavy snow showers tonight as they take of Norwegian side Tromso in the Europa League very close to the Arctic Circle.

When Chelsea played there during their 1997 Cup Winners Cup match at the Alfheim Stadion they lost 3-2 in a match manager Ruud Gullit called a ‘farce’.

The game had to be stopped twice to allow groundsman to clear heavy snow from the pitch in order for the players to be able to tell where on the field they were.

Despite Chelsea’s loss they went on to win the home leg 7-1 going on to win the competition 1-0 against Stuttgart thanks to a Gianfranco Zola goal in the final.
