Spurs, AS Roma, Lamela, Tottenham,

Spurs have joined the big time putting together a team that can be a serious challenger for the Premier League title, and if reports out of Italy are correct they have just lands AS Roma’s Argentinian striker Erik Lamela.

According to reports there has been several meetings over the past few weeks with the same person that broke the news that Spurs had signed Willian from under the nose of Liverpool Gianluca Di Marzio saying that Tottenham had met with Lamela’s representatives in Spain, and that a deal had been agreed that would see the 21-year-old receive 2.4€ million per –season to increase over the life of the contract with Roma to get 30€ plus add-ons.

The one thing not agreed however is a payment schedule with the Italians wanting to be paid over two years, while Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy true to his form want the money paid out over a five year period.

With all the moves Tottenham are making in the transfer market I do not see how any Spurs fan can be disappointed in the selling of Gareth Bale now that they have seen what the money his sale has brought in.
