Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham is all set to scuttle any chances Arsenal thought they had of signing Colombian striker Jackson Martinez from Porto by making the Portuguese club a better offer for their star player.

The Gunners thought they had a deal done and dusted for £24.8 million, but with Spurs now in the mix all bets are off as to where the prolific goal scorer will end up next season according to Fichajes.net who suggests it could all come down to whoever was willing to pay the most money.

And before everyone gets carried away Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal may have a word or two to say after having identified the 28-year-old striker as a possible target for Manchester United also.
