Arsenal January loan target Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata has told the Spanish giants that he wants to stay at Madrid despite rumours linking him to Arsenal and other Premiership teams.

The 21-year-old is also attracting attention from teams in Italy’s Serie A , but according to the Daily Express he has talked with coach Carlo Ancelotti and told the Italian that he would prefer to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu.

And while the 21-year-old is also interesting clubs in Italy, he has spoken with Carlo Ancelotti about his desire to remain at the Bernabeu.

Previously it was thought that Morata was open to a move to England, but after helping Los Blancos thrash Real Betis 5-0 he has had a change of heart.

“Despite all the stories that have emerged, I am happy here,” he said.

“I have spoken with the club and the coach and told them I want to stay here.

“This is the team I have spent my entire life at and I will stay here and do whatever the club asks of me or needs of me, even if it’s to play a minimal amount of games.”
