Negredo

Jose Maria Del Nido the president of Seville football club says that his team’s star striker Alvaro Negredo will not be allowed to leave the club for anything less than what they think he is worth.

Negredo was La Liga’s leading Spanish scorer last season and has been linked to a move to Tottenham and Atletico Madrid, and has hinted that he would like a move away from Andalucía.

While speaking to the clubs television channel a couple of days ago Del Nido said that there have been two offers for the striker, one of which was from a domestic side, and the other a foreign club.

Today however Del Nido has done a 360 saying that he wants the player to remain at Sevilla, and that if any club wanted to try and buy Negredo would have to meet the price the club wanted for the hit man.

“We are not going to undersell Negredo or any other player,” he told AS. “If you ask me I would like him to stay.

“I hope he does and continues to score many goals for Sevilla. We are used to the pressure there is in these cases but we are evidently not going to undersell him.”

He added: “He will only go if the right offer arrives. If it doesn’t, he will stay, he has another four years left on his contract.”

The Andalucians have already sold two players this season Jesus Navas for an estimated £25 million to Manchester City, and youngster Luis Alberto to Liverpool for around£6.8 million.
