The Spanish press says Ronaldo misses United but City will pay 200€

Manchester City is prepared to help Cristiano Ronaldo be happy once again by offering Real Madrid 200€ million for the Portuguese striker.

This apparently was the offer made to Real last summer by Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, but was rejected by Madrid president Florentino Perez.

City have said they also want to make Ronaldo the highest paid footballer offering him 20€ a season to come and play at the Etihad.

In the same article from the Spanish newspaper AS they said the 27-year old still misses Old Trafford, and Sir Alex Ferguson who he regards as a farther figure.

Cynics say they are only now talking about these mythical figures in order to persuade Real Madrid into offering him a better contract.

Ronaldo has repeatedly said that money is playing no part in why he is unhappy.

The figures that have been mentioned appear to be unrealistically high.

Then again when you are as rich as Sheikh Mansour anything is possible.

City Play Madrid September 18th at the Bernabeu in their first Champions League match of the new season, and with all eyes being on Mansour and Perez it will be interesting to see if the two spend any time together discussing why Cristiano is so sad.
