HARRY REDKNAPP has been sensationally offered Dutch star Wesley Sneijder to boost QPR’s relegation scrap.

The Rangers boss was shocked to receive a call yesterday offering him the midfield maestro.

Arsenal and Chelsea have already snubbed deals for the Inter Milan star over his huge wage demands.

And Redknapp said: “I was asked by one agent if I wanted to sign Sneijder.

“Of course I do. However, he’s on about £200,000 a week and now he wants to join QPR?

“I won’t name the agent, but let’s just say I think a deal is unlikely.”

Redknapp wants to make up to five signings this month in an attempt to keep rock-bottom QPR in the Premier League.

And he might yet take revenge on West Ham for beating him to Joe Cole by luring crowd favourite Mohamed Diame away from Upton Park.

Hammers chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold are trying to thrash out a deal to raise the player’s wages by £10,000 a week and double his £3.5m escape clause.

Redknapp is ready to fork out up to £5m for Diame plus a lucrative signing-on fee. But he kept his cards close to his chest last night, saying: “We’ll wait and see.”
