TOTTENHAM are refusing to give up on their pursuit of Brazilian star Willian.

Let me Shak up with Spurs

Shakhtar Donetsk have rejected an initial bid of £20million, insisting they value the midfield at closer to £30m.

The Ukrainian giants bought Willian from Brazilian side Corinthians for £12m in 2007.

But Spurs have agreed to continue talks this week and are determined to strike a deal for the talented winger.

Willian, 24, who has two international caps with the Samba stars, has made it clear he wants out of Donetsk — and has pleaded with them to let him leave.

He said: “Everyone knows that I want out. I’ve been here for five years, won many titles, so I hope you respect my will.

“I do not regret coming here, but this situation has been happening. With Chelsea trying to get me in January and now Tottenham, we start to rethink.”

Willian is one of Andre Villas Boas’ top targets. He’s scored 28 goals in 188 matches with Shakhtar.
