According to this morning’s Daily Mirror Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have approached Chelsea regarding a move that would see on loan from Monaco striker Radamel Falcao move to Florence in January to play out the remained of his season long deal, rather than to continue as he is doing spending most of his time on the Blues bench.

It is fair to say that the 29-year-old Columbian international has not made the kind of impact at Stamford Bridge that manager Jose Mourinho was hoping for at the start of the season, scoring just one goal for Chelsea despite having a reputation as one of the world’s best strikers.

If Mourinho should cut his loan deal short in January it appears as if Fiorentina will be the front runners for his signature despite interest from Valencia and Porto as well.
